Be there before the doors open.
A Kickstarter is coming to launch the first trilogy of The Woven in hardcover.
Sign up to become a Founding Reader. You will be the first to know when the campaign opens, and you will receive the San Lirio Field Guide, an illustrated companion to the city of The Woven, sent to your inbox.
What happens when you sign up.
You receive the San Lirio Field Guide: an illustrated companion to the city, the five friends, and the places where the story begins. Made for Founding Readers and available nowhere else.
You get an occasional letter from the author as the campaign takes shape. Real letters, written slowly, and not many of them.
And on launch day, you get first access to the Founding Reader editions, before anyone else hears about them.
A small family press
Why we are doing it this way.
The Woven is a literary fantasy for young readers and the adults who read beside them: the story of San Lirio, a city that cares for its children beautifully, and of five friends who begin to notice what that care quietly costs. It is a multi-part series, beginning with its first trilogy.
Anchor Point Publishing is a small family press. We work slowly, we publish stories that hold, and we would rather make a book properly than make it fast. Launching on Kickstarter lets us make the editions we actually want to make, together with the readers who want them to exist.
The people who join before the campaign opens are our Founding Readers. The name is not a marketing line. It is how we will know, years from now, who was standing at the door with us at the beginning.
What the campaign funds
Editions made with care.
The Kickstarter funds the production of the first trilogy in matte hardcover, with the maps, chapter vignettes, and typography the story deserves, and brings it to Founding Readers as one complete set. For every five books backed, one paperback goes to a school or library that could not have ordered it otherwise.
